Our gorgeous reindeer has forgotten it’s name – can you guess what it is? If you would like the chance to win the reindeer, bring in £1 to have a go at guessing. I can’t wait for our reindeer to have new home before Christmas. Good luck everyone!

This week the children have been following the BSL Advent Calendar. So far they have learnt
*Advent Calendar
*Angel
*Baby Jesus
It would be wonderful if you could join in too

There aren’t many children who love absolutely everything about their school, so if you could change just one thing about ours, what would it be?
Would you like bigger classrooms but fewer kids in your class? How about newer books and more computers?
Maybe you’d like more choice about the subjects you have to study or how long lunch play time is? You might even think we should get rid of school uniform.

Use the link above for some other ideas of different changes you could make.
Have your say and think about what you would like to change and write a short speech showing the benefits of your change.
Would you be brave enough to read out your speech in your Crew?

Well done to all of our fantastic winners! 🙂

This week, Year 6 will continue to sell tickets for the ‘Christmas Themed Family Bingo Night’ being held in the school hall on Tuesday 9th December. Last year’s events were a huge success and lots of fun was had by all who attended them.
This is a family event therefore all children must be accompanied by a grown-up so that they can play the game. Entrance tickets cost 50p per person – a ticket must be purchased for each person attending the event. Admission is by ticket only due to fire regulations.
If you would like to purchase tickets, please send money in an envelope clearly labelled with your child’s name, class and the number of tickets required. The Year 6 children will collect money from classrooms and allocate tickets accordingly.
Doors will open at 5:30pm with ‘Eyes Down’ at 6:00pm.
The bingo cards for each game will be on sale on the night and there will be 6 different coloured games during the evening with lots of Christmas / chocolate themed prizes. Bingo cards will be sold in booklets of 6 coloured strips for £5. Each coloured strip consists of 6 bingo cards. You can choose whether you want to buy a booklet each or buy a booklet and split it between your family. If you prefer you can buy 6 individual coloured game cards for £1. Of course, you can play as many cards as you can manage in each game. Check out some of the prizes that are on offer below.

Refreshments will be on sale during the evening and all funds raised are to go towards the Year 6 leavers and end of year celebrations.
I do hope you will be able to support us at this event. The more people who come the better the atmosphere so please do try to fit this event into your diary. Get on your Christmas jumpers and come and have some fun to start off the festive season!

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone who has signed up for our Phonics Family Learning Event tomorrow. The hall doors will be open from 8:30am for adults to keep warm and have a warm drink. Please drop children off at their normal classroom doors at 8:30 and then make your way to the hall. Children will be registered in their classes and then will be brought down to work with their grownups at 9am.
In this session we will be showing you what your children do in their daily phonics and shared reading sessions and we will be sharing hints and tips about how you can help your child develop their reading fluency at home.
We really hope you can join us. Please make sure you have signed up using the link below as this will help us to prepare resources for you and your child.
Thank you,
Miss Schön and Miss Rodgers
